Richard Sukup

Richard is a native Texan, calling Fort Worth his home since the early 1950’s. His father was a “jack-of-all-tradesman”, and he grew up around hard working men and cowboys; his uncle was a Texas Sheriff. Painting has been his life passion, finding inspiration through personal travels in many worldly places. He is especially fond of west Texas, having enjoyed the ‘Big Bend’ area since the late 1970’s. His original oils and fine art giclee’s are purchased by nationally recognized corporations, noted individuals and are shown in galleries around Texas. Richard feels a deep connection to his paintings and a visual remembrance of something he thought special and worthy to paint. "To create is to free the mind and body if only for a few hours or days. To those who aspire to create, I can say, expand beyond and find the meaning you seek in life."
